The Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast are the pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Pacific Northwest Coast, their descendants, and many ethnic groups who identify with those historical peoples.
They are now situated within the Canadian Province of British Columbia and the U.S. states of Alaska, Washington and Oregon.
List of people: Nisga'a, Tsetsaut, Haida, Tsimshian, Gitxsan, Haisla, Heiltsuk, Wuikinuxv, Kwakwaka'wakw, Nuu-chah-nulth, Makah, Coast Salish, Nuxálk, Willapa, Chimakum, Quileute, Chinook
Picture below show's Vancouver, BC's top tourist attraction, the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Visitors to the Capilano Suspension bridge can visit can visit the Kia'palano Village which offers demonstrations of carving techniques and West Coast Native interpreters with stories about the region before settlers arrived in the Vancouver region.

Pictured below is Clarence Mills, a Haida artist who has designed some of the most beautiful and powerful art work currently being created. His beautiful designs are on our Spirit Wrap Button Shawls, as well as our Ready-to-Frame Art Cards.

Pictured below is a Kermode Bear cub, or Spirit Bear, a subspecies of the Black Bear which is only found in the Central and North Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Because of their ghost-like appearance, "spirit bears" hold a prominent place in the mythology of the Canadian First Nations.

Bald eagles soar majectically over the mountains of British Columbia. From November until February, one to two thousand birds winter in Squamish, British Columbia, about halfway between Vancouver and Whistler. The birds gather primarily along the Squamish and Cheakamus Rivers, attracted by the salmon spawning in the area.

The Raven, pictured below, is a large black bird very similar in appearance to the crow, but larger with a heavier bill and a croaking voice rather than a "caw". It is a soaring, acrobatic flyer and aggresive scavenger and it plays a significant role in First Nations mythology.

Stanley Park totem poles, one of which is pictured below, are located at Brockton Point, one of the most visited tourist attraction in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia.
